The Blue Ridge BBQ Festival is an annual tradition in Tryon real estate where people come from miles around to partake in cooking and/or eating barbecued meat. The Foothills Equestrian Nature Center (FENCE) provides nature programs, hiking and biking trails, birdwatching programs, therapeutic horse riding and horse shows.
The Fabulous 4th Metric Century Bike Tour is an annual riding event around the beautifully scenic Tryon area to raise money for local Boy & Girl Scouts, Steps to Hope (a battered women's shelter), Amateur Radio Club and Rescue Squad and other local groups in need. This event is held every July 4th.
The non-profit Upstairs Artspace is a contemporary art gallery exhibiting 2-D and 3-D art by contemporary artists primarily in the North Carolina area. Along with their exhibits, they provide excellent educational opportunities that change throughout the year.
The city maintains several parks throughout the Tryon, including Rogers Park, Harmon Field, The Green Corner and Woodland Park.
